Do you serve all hair textures?

Yes — Africana Star is a full-service salon for every texture. Our team specializes in natural, relaxed, color-treated and transitioning hair, and we work across both styling and braiding services.
Where is the salon located?

We're at 5773 Wilshire Boulevard, Suite M-105 #13, Los Angeles, CA 90036 — on the Miracle Mile stretch of Wilshire.
How do I book an appointment?

Do you require a deposit?

Most braiding services and select longer color services require a non-refundable deposit to secure your appointment. The exact amount is shown during booking.
How long does a braiding appointment take?

Braiding appointments typically run 2–4 hours depending on the style and length. Faux locs and large-scale installs can take up to 4 hours or more.
Do you offer consultations before color services?

Yes. We offer 20-minute consultations on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 AM – 1 PM to plan color corrections, blonding, and major transformations.
What is the cancellation policy?

We ask for 24 hours' notice for cancellations or reschedules. Late cancellations or no-shows may forfeit the booking deposit.
Do you take walk-ins?

Walk-ins are accepted based on availability, but appointments are strongly recommended — especially for braiding and color services.
